Stage 1 fun! GLI is now chipped, and running APR software!
Now, it makes somewhere in the neighborhood of 250hp and 285 ft-lbs on the 91 octane tune I am currently running. It drives great, it pulls great, and I can officially say I am in love. This is what this car should have been like form the factory!

the 2.0Ls are remarkly robust. IIRC, bigger injectors/intake/exhaust and a different tune will net you 300/300

I test drove a 2014 Jetta GLI and felt acceleration was meh, so your tune should've fixed that.

Being that the Bug is a lease, probably won't be doing a reflash. However, at some point I will be getting the power module. Almost the same thing, but is a hardware box that can be removed and doesn't store any data internally. Plus a doggone to help reduce slop.

well i'll tell you this: you can remove the software at any time at your local shop, and go back to stock if you want to. That's what i'll be doing for my car for dealer repairs ETC.

are those crank or wheel horsepower? Good numbers regardless. I feel like they are crank and probably make about 220/250 hp/tq to the wheels. Stock otherwise?

Yup, to the crank. I talked to the guy who works at the tuning shop, and he showed me the dyno sheet for his Mk6 GTI that has a 91 octane tune, a CAI, and a downpipe, and he's at 237whp and 266ft-lbs, So I'd assume it's around the numbers you gave
Still beats the stock 200hp/207tq at the crank

oh yeah definitely! Tuned cars power delivery is so much better. The torque curve is how it should have come!! Did you mpg get better? Mine did on my st with a tune. On 93 my tune makes around 250/330 whp/wtq vs 225/270. Too bad you don't live in a 93 octane state.

I live in a "92" octane state, so it's fine. and jesus, 250 at the wheels?! nice!
